I am just curious to know the answer to this question. How many of you can write their own e-books and reports?

Have you ever wrote a report/e-book on anything? Has it done well? If so, why do you think you failed?

    Thanks

I've written a few. If you can write content for a website you can write an ebook :)

I usually buy some good PLR ebook and modify it.

Some people allow you to use the ebook as your own
and even allow you to mod it.

    Okay.

What is the topic of your e-book? Is it a HOW to e-book or is it something different?

    Thanks

I would think anyone can write a e-book. How good it actually is, can depend on if the person can write well, ie. grammar, word usage, etc.
You want ebooks to be an easy read and with a lot of information.

Well said. I hear so many bloggers say that they could never write an ebook. Why not start a series on your blog? and then combine it all, and you have a ebook?

This is something I am currently doing on one of my blogs.

Writing an ebook is the easy part. The real question is how well can you promote and sell your ebook. Your marketing is going to affect how well your ebook/report sells.

I disagree. The product comes first. If the product is not good, then no point on Marketing it. Just take a look at GET FREE GOOGLE ADS EXAMPLE, refund rate was high.

The sales page needs to be catchy and convincing.
The product needs to be of high quality and excellent content.

I've written one sales page for a weight loss ebook but I haven't uploaded it yet.

If you can't market your ebook effectively then it doesn't matter how good it is, because sales will be low. Sure, the quality of the product will matter in the long run, but you need to sell it first. If nobody reads your ebook then there's nobody to complain about the quality of it.
