Hello, I have gave it a try but didn't saw much features than Xp. Also, Vista eats all ressource... I am still happy with my XP Regards,
I have XP on my PC and Vista on my laptop. I prefer XP. I guess due to the fact I have used it longer. Vista I am still trying to get use to. And there are little things I just dont like or care for. Takes to long to load when I turne on or off the laptop.
I have XP MCE on my Laptop and XP PRO on my Desktop. I think I will never switch to Vista. I would rather switch to Ubuntu+XGL before switching to Vista.
Like many others I'm still using XP, lol - not that it's because I don't like Vista, as I've played around with it ( my cousin has it ) but simply because I'm quite used to, and am happy with working in XP.
ill use XP until the kinks in vista are sorted out. seeing as the kinks in XP are still here, I figure it will take more than a few years! of course, when it comes time to buy a new computer ( which will be within the next year or so) I'm sure I'll be forced into it. The problem is, for me anyways, that one of the programs I use ( more than one actually) is not compatible. and since i use it for making $....well...xp wins. not to mention all the peripherals will have to be caught up to vista too. I dont want to buy a new printer, camera, etc... before its time to, anyways
I can't think of any but it is certainly not as bad as the bashers say. I do think the speeds are a little better and inevitably there will be software which only works on Vista, like drivers but there's no reason to rush to buy it.
Today I was going to buy a vista but the store was sold out... I will let you know everything when I buy it//
Even if i have 64bit machine, i still use xp x64... We all know that for a Windows to work well... Microsoft has to release at least 2 service packs..
I think this is quite a valid point. After 1 service pack things start to look better but even then its still full of holes untill the second service pack. Both win2k and xp have gone this way.
When the 64bit architecture takes off, I think vista will be a lot more popular. 32bit systems support a maximum of 4GB memory which includes all kinds of memory. As some people are finding out if you put 4GB ram and a 512MB graphics card into a 32bit windows OS, 512MB of your ram is completely unavailable for use (often over 1GB of your ram is unavailable because all your drivers deduct from your 4GB max total).
