Now here's my case I owned 2000 shares of a Local company on our stock market (I live in Bulgaria). I have had those shares for like 3 years. I bought at 6, sold at 13. A year later they are ....600 per share. too bad I sold them at 13
ouch, well the story of our lives right? hehe btw, as google stock is well-traded (the liquidity is good), a stock split would for sure increase the price, therefore for shareholders = good. when we're talking about not-so-liquid stock, then stock splits don't really matter.
i dsagree with clancey.... id say microsoft is no starting to feel pressure after being fined so much in the EU etc... and it now as more competition (sorry if i spelt that wrong) . microsofts products are not really any more 'real' than googles. though, i can see your point. microsoft will probably go up in value with the release of vista oh, and yeh, i agree with morishani... im too young as well
This calculation does not make much sense. You invested at IPO, which was about $70 a piece. 5000 shares at $70 is $350,000. If you were to sell now, your sale proceeds should be over a million dollars and not $250,000 as you suggest.
I want to buy some stock in Google...Now how does that rule go? Buy hi and sell low lol. Buy at 400.00
@nikolaalx I understand what you mean.. but going to your area or others, i heard some strange places where they have enough money left.. its a risk for me.. i am just dutch, that would be too much, those changes.. perhaps i need to have more balls . But my girlfriend has us nationality. Makes everything easy. Regards
