How Many Members or Post Until You Make/Made $20+ From a Forum?

Just wondering how easy it is to make cash through forums. I understand it depends a lot on niche and if its based on a product etc' but if anyones got a rough estimate of how many posts or active members it takes to start seeing income from a forum ($20 ish) id love to hear your experiences. thanks

 

you mean from the adsense thing?

maybe a million or two... you don't earn much from that- at all.

 

You may need visitors in so much quantity to land such landmark

 

It's all about the traffic. The DP forum here get's a ton of traffic each day and the adsense does add up to a decent income sometimes. Have more then one way to earn income from your forum cause if your account let's say, get's banned by adsense, the income you made from that just stops. If your forum receives a lot of traffic, you could always sell banner spots on your forum and earn a little money from that. Put up a donation button and perhaps your members will help contribute to the hosting costs each month.

Set up a premium (paid) membership group on your forum in which they get more access to certain features or other goodies you have in store for them. Any idea's coming to mind for you?

Yes, i run a forum and don't even use adsense. I already know the cost per click with my forum niche is really not that good so i'm not wasting my time. I earn money from promoting affiliate programs threw PPC. The ad's i have up are filler's and sometimes i'll sell banner space.

 

There is no formula. If you have a forum about the trading of commodities, one single adsense click might make you $20. If you're running a forum about internet marketing, you would be lucky to make 50 cents on a single click. Everything is relative and this is an impossible question.

 

yes it really is all about building links and getting traffic plus learning

it is an indirect money maker It would be hard to say which users from dp have bought anything from me or not so it is more about getting traffic than anything else

 

Seei have recently made a new forum and when i get a few hundred members i'll be putting adsense on, mine is about teen money making so i will be using the keywords like, money, cars, football, hair and makeup etc. They pay AVG PPC of £4-£14 which seems like i should make good money but by the osunds of it adsense makes hardly anything.

 

I don't think it's something worth spending your time on.

If you have the time to do so many posts, set up a blog instead!
