how many max. of url to sitemap?

    how many max. of url to sitemap?

    i upload sitemap.xml with 22000 url (5mega)

    does google Preferably it

    there should be no max, but you should split it more parts if the gzipped file gets too big

    categorize your sitemaps according to your site structure(split sitemap for every category), it will be more better.

    But there is no limit of URLs in sitemap, you should gzip it if it have more size

    According to vBSEO

    as other mentioned before you should gzip xml, 5mb url will just put eat your servers bandwidth and put load on server.
