    My primary OS: Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
    Vista for playing games :D

    If you are PC game freak then using linux might push you back otherwise linux is perfect.

    I think there is very less percentage of them.
    None of my friends as well as me use Linux. All use Windows.

    I will suggest ubuntu 9.10 because it is easy use for the newer person and the controls are also similar to the windows.

    Dual booting Windows 7 and Ubutnu. Quite a nice compromise between functionality in the day time and productivity/stablitiy at night

    I have Dual OS in my PC one is XP and the other is Ubuntu.

    I like working on Ubuntu as it is more secure than XP.
