I think as long as you diversify the link building effort, you can even have 200 links per day. some links can come from social bookmarking, a few from article submission, 40 to 50 links from blog commenting, and another 50 links from forums.
HZ your question is probably more interesting than the title of the post. I will try to give a rating Giving 1 point to generic directory Generic directory 1 Articles multi submitting 2 (something that no ones actually would read) Aritcles original 20 (something that people actually reads) Yahoo answers 3 Nofollow link, no relevancy (twitter, facebook) 0,1 Nofollow with relevancy (blog, forum) 1 meaning where people talks about your subject Dofollow signature on blogs forums such as this (no relevancy) 10 Dofollow singature or blogs with relevancy (talking about your keywords 50 Reciprocal links with no keyword sharing or no relevancy 20 Reciprocal with relevancy and not too many links 100 backlink with relecancy and not too many links on the page 300 backlink with relevancy high pr 1000 dmoz 10000 (causing other backlinks) true link (someone who points at your site and comment positively and bring customer) 100000 This is thrown out of my little experience.
i used to do like 10 links a day with my blog, and stopped doing it more than half year ago...and i recently searched for some keywords, what surprised me is my blog rank #1 to #3 with the keywords in different orders
you can make as many as you want. Alot of websites get plenty of natural backlinks by their users posting a link back to them. Some get thousands per day without even knowing.
For me the number has never been a major deal. I always prefer one quality link over 50 junk links. So While building links, I think that the number (10, 20, 100 per day ) should never be a parameter. So I would rather suggest to try and build as much relevant and quality links as one can.
I agree with you fmirza. 1 quality link a day is better than 100 spam links. Avoid spamming and focus to quality link.
No one can ever find out the answer in numbers. You should always be consistent with your link building.Emphasize on Organic and slow link building. This will definitely be helpful then any other link building techniques
up to you but you must consistent..... remember.... search engine not detect your backlink in the same time
I usually go for 10 links a day.. makes it more natural IMO.. seriously NEVER go with text link brokers.. you'll get sandbox easily that way
It can depend on the backlinks you are building. If the backlinks are using different anchor text, then it's ok to build more than 10 a day. But if you start off building too many links too quickly, you will get some results, but Google will expect to see a similar rate of link building to maintain that ranking. Go steady and vary the links is my advice.
Millions. It doesn't matter how many backlinks you build since unless you use the RSS feed indexing maneuver no search engine is going to find them all at once. If there would be a 'limit' you could nuke your competitors off the charts.
depends on age of site. For a new site take it slow. FOr a 5 year site go for everything you can get out there
Quality of your links - that's what really matters. The links should be added manually not automatically - that's the main criteria.
