I am just wondering how many links can you put on your main website page without it being considered a "link farm". Is it ok as long as they are related? can you have 10,20, 30? unrelated links?

sites like http://heelssoxsteelers.blogspot.com/ has tons and tons of links. mostly it's blogs that have tons of links.

Whats the rule about how many links you can put on your page without it hurting your PR.

I don't think the answer to that question is cut and dry. Basically, it depends. I think less is always better of course, but as long as your links are well organized and related to your site content you will be fine. Here is an example of a site with tons of related links on their page http: //www.dcresource.com/links/ (I put a space in) and they are still well liked by google with a PR of 7. Use your best judgement and try to create a resource page that will benefit and interest your site visitors and you will be fine. :)

Yes, a resource page is ideal for you.
Keep your content pages down to say 10 relevant links, IMO.
You see far too many sites with far too many links. You also see that many of those die away quickly.
There are too many sites like them and more often than not they are not user-friendly, so visitors dont stay for long.

    just my humble opinion.
