I just purchased a website with 90 pages. Just about every page links off of the homepage. I always thought anything more than 50 links off the homepage to the sub pages was too many. I'd love to get some opinions from experienced webmasters.
That does sound like way too much. I think that links to only the inner/main pages is enough. Those main pages can then handle their own contents.
Hello, I don't think it's a problem for inner page. But no more 100 links for external websites See you
Google webmaster guidelines state this: Offer a site map to your users with links that point to the important parts of your site. If the site map is larger than 100 or so links, you may want to break the site map into separate pages. So I would say no more than 100 for any page.
According to google google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35769 Keep links less than 100.
NO perfect assumption about that but try to use as many as you cud do without hurting your site design & also does not look like spammy.
