Soon I'll have enough content on my page to start building links and first thing I'm planning to do is an article in ezine. I know I can place 2 links in the article, but I was wondering how many times my article will be populated over the web and how many links in total I'll get? I know it largely depends on the article but what are reasonable numbers? Is it in 10s or 100s? Are there any case studies?
Typically just the 2 you input in the article. Every now and then you'll get someone who publishes the article on another page and that will add another two backlinks, but this is not typical. Plan on only getting the two from the article itself.
That's quite pathetic actually. I've just checked PR of ezine page with an article in my niche and it says 'n/a'. So all I'm gonna get is two links from page with no page rank?
when you submit an article to Ezine or to any other article directory, you will have PR N/A to begin with as it takes google months to assign a PR to a page. besides, depending on the amount of time your article got picked up by other sites, you may end up having PR0 or PR3+ for an article at the end. most of your articles will end up having PR0 btw but that doesn't mean you will not get any benefit from the links. Ezine Articles is one of the best article directory around and just because of its authority with google, you will get good link juice, not to mention tha traffic associated with submitting your article. make sure you write the article with SEO in mind and include your main keyword on the title as well as on the article body. do not go over 2% keyword density as Ezine will not accept any article over that limit. if you find submitting to ezine is pathetic, then there are other article directories that would not even worth your time and article marketing is not for you.
Hmm, to be honest I would expect too much from it. Sure there are link building opportunities from article writing, but not normally from a novice whos only aim is getting some free backlinks....
link building is a long term work, not for quick $. article linking is the same. unfortunately, most people love make-million-in-24-hours kind of stuff.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't expect to make million $ next week. But getting 2 links from an article is rather so so, I've written some articles to proper magazines and they pay at least few hundred bugs. Unless, you mean an article that takes 10 minutes to write - that's fair enough.
Not just think about the backlinks. A good article in EZA can drive to your site a considerable amount of direct traffic, specially if it ranks well in Google SERP, what is pretty easy if you choose the right keywords and optimize the article for them.
Unfortunately you may also find that some people who publish your ezine article will use inactive links and some might even just cut & paste without your back-links. Like the above poster says though, the links from Ezine themsleves still carry some weight.
I have 20 articles in e zine now, not much happening, i only have one of them recorded as a link in yahoo. They are between 4 weeks and 4 days old, is there anything i can do to make them more powerful
We're after traffic here, right? Not backlinks. This is what you have to think about when you get into article marketing. Sure, a side benefit is that you can throw a few links in there for SEO purposes. However, the end result you are wanting is for that article to rank well in Google and for people to find the article. In return, the article should be related to your website and at the end of the article maybe even send readers to buy your products or services. The only way you would get an article higher than a PR0 is if you yourself did link building on that specific article. It's the backlinks to that article that will give it a higher PR. Otherwise, don't expect to get a highly valuable backlink from article marketing.
Normally, you can put two links in article. In article body some times allowed links but some not. so you can check the Guidelines before posting. In Article resource box, you can have two links.
