hello, i know google and other search engines dont link too many linkson same anchor text any guess or any figure till google consider build links on same anchor text is not spam
It's not a fixed number, you should think about proportions. Make sure that there isn't one keyword that forms the great majority in your anchor texts.
Exactly. Something I like to do before I upload a Web page to the server is sit back and read it. Does it feel natural, like I'm actually reading something, or does it feel like it was generated by a room full of monkeys using typewriters to compose Shakespeare? I'll also check the links. Do they appear to fit naturally in the page, or do they stand out like a sore thumb? Does the same link text appear over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again like a broken record, or is variety the spice of the page's life? What I'm saying is you want the page to be readable. People hate repetition and if they find the same thing being repeated over and over again on a single page, they're going to leave. So while your page may show up on the first search resutls page, it's not going to do you a bit of good if it's not converting people because the content is causing them to leave faster than rats off a sinking ship.
Possibly but not terribly likely. The ideal situation is to have more links coming in than you have going out. If you're linking to other relevant pages within your own site on an as-needed basis, you should be fine. If you're just adding links because you can, you'll want to look into getting rid of some (if not most) of them.
As Paul said, it's all about proportions... A popular site can handle a large quantity of duplicate anchor text. For instance sites like phpBB, vBulletin, Wordpress etc have sitewide links with duplicate anchor text in their scripts across millions of pages. So i like to go easy on newer domains, then wind it up as they start getting a decent backlink profile. To compensate when the site is new, i like to focus on deeplinks so your still getting targetted anchors, but at the same time arn't obtaining duplicate anchor text. Yes it can, if your page is PR5 and it only links to 10 internal pages... The PR5 weight is being split 10 ways. However if you have 10 internal links and 10 external links your PR5 is being split 20 ways and only 50% of it is being feed internally which can (in theory) lower your 10 pages by a small degree.
Hey Harsha, The number of links on the same anchor text or rather the number of links itself to be build really depends how much trustworthy your site looks to google. If your domain is very very new then definitely you need to build links slowly and if your domain is old and is well established then probably you can take chance by building good amount of links with the same anchor text. And the number of the links is something that would depend from situation to situation. Ideally you can build as much as links as your competitors on top 10 have.
Well Ideally, Its recommended to change the anchor after every backlink made, but thats not a compulsion, coz following that means tons of problems managing anchors all the day long..infact nights too Keeping the anchors natural "Long tail look" with the keyword strategically placed in the phrase can do wonders. Afterall, as long as things are natural, they'll let the juice pass on..Using typical keyword everytime while building links will cause Anchor Overoptimization flux to pour in..creating a hell on in the SERPS.. Keeping anchors natural.. hmmm now that sounds good, but how to go about it? OK, consider yourself a visitor and think on, this site is Amazing, wow, I love this sweet banner on the top, awesome content man (Is this guy a link bait specialist..lol.. jokes apart..) The tendency of a visitor/layman is to add up a link using the title of the site as the anchor text. Or using the most prominent Words on the site which actually describes the page the best. Hence thats your title which is gonna perform out with its best.. One more thing that has been noticed is that, links made with verygeneral anchors do pour in some good value, and by general values I mean: Read More>>, Click here to open in a new window, Send this page to a friend, and more of the stuff like this.. Now arent these natural?? It works, go figure
There is no fixed limit but try to get some links using 1 keywords as anchor time and after that try for other keywords as anchor text so that all keywords get the same weightage and your website will rank for all ...
It depends you have too many unrelated links and many OBL rather than IBLs surely it will hurt your rankings... Build more organic Inbound links than building unrelevant and OBLs...
