Sometimes into the hundreds, but only when I can find the time. You should start off slow though.

same here, some days none, other days may be a hundred of so as it varies on how much time I have to devote to link building. Most seem to agree that the new sites need to be a few perhaps 5-10 per day but be consistent and no 200 links per day as that may draw attention to the site. I have not seen anything conclusive on how fast you should add sites/links but I tend to believe that consistent link building is sensible.

Like previously stated, try to be consistent, little by little. You'll need some patience sometimes, I'm happy if I get a couple good ones a week now, but we've already got a lot so that might have something to do with it.

i tend to keep it below 20 a day to make it look natural

its possible to build thousands a day but google will know its not natural
it all depends what methods your using to build links, dont go submitting to 4 million directories or social bookmarks
Build links naturally in content etc..

That is great, it motivate me to do more. 50/day was my best so far. But now I will aim at a 15/day and not over do it.

As much as possible quality links. If you read the Google Guidelines you will see that there is no limit.
Automated link spam and blackhat linkbuilding techniques however might hurt your site.

So, how about Google penalty "to many links at once"? I would not recommend to get more than 50 links a day.

Quality, natural links won't be penalized no matter of their number. I can assure you of that.

"too many links at once" is valid for link injection, etc. blackhat ;)

are those links on all different sites or do you comb through sites looking for relevancy
the bets sites to get quick links on without the whole formal sign-up and registration email process are the ones that allow you leave comment with your name field as your anchor text. in my opinion "leave a comment" "keyword" Google :)

The amount of daily links you get will partly depend on what niche you are in. It might be more natural to get 100 - 200 links per day in a certain niche, while in another niche it may be better to only get a handful of links each day. If you can keep up at a pace of 50+ links per day, it will still look natural to Google due to the consistency.

If you get too many links at once whether it is natural or unnatural, there is a good chance that Google won't count those links.

what ever you do you should be consistent, getting 200 a day won't get you penalized if you do it every day

Thanks, I feel like an idot here, because I didn't see this thread a second ago before I just started a new one about the same question...Duh!

Anyways, I've been real paranoid about my new blog because I'm pretty sure I've been adding links at a slow but continuous process maybe 100 in the last month, things are going good up until now, but I think it just might be an update or something. I just downloaded the G-Lock blog finder too, cool!

I think that get 50 per month its a great way to improve your website, because if you get too much links in few time your website could be banned or somethnig similar
