How many letters in title and description ?

Could you answer how many letters in title and description will be good for SEO ?

title tag should not more than 60 characters. and description is maximum 140 to 150 characters.

 

No more than 60 is my recommendation.

 

I think title should be in between 45 to 65 letters.In description you should include your main keywords that should in between 130 and 170 letters.

 

Title's Character should be less then 15 ( larger length looks odd and people don't like it)

Description length should be less then or equal to 160(160 is the maximum number of characters displayed by the search engines)

 

You are safe with less than 60. Definitely don't go over that amount, and I agree with the above between 130-170. When it comes to titles, get the keywords that you need and make sure it makes sense without rambling on. Remember its just a title.

Everytime when you create your title monetize it with your keyword but not more than 60 character. And description not more then 150 character long with keyword density.

As others have said, title should be 60 or less character and description 160 or less. However, they say its best to put your main keywords in the beginning of the title and description if possible.

 

A well known standard for title is around 65-70 characters while 150-180 in description. Please remember that the title should be convinced enough to visitor and not solely for bot or it will have a much less CTR (click through rate).

That was a lot of different suggestions. The correct for Google is:

Titletag: 70 letters - and not a single more. Earlier it was 67, but it has changed.
Description: 160 letters - and not a single more.

If you make your titletag longer than 70 letters it will only show 64 letters and using the last to "..."

 

By the way - the description does not affect your SEO. Not any more.

The descriptions purpose is to make the site interesting for the users reading the Google results. So use the 160 letters to write things that make the users click into your site, instead of spamming the description with keywords just to try optimizing the SEO. It is official from Google that it is like this.

Just try to make a couple of searches and you will find descriptions on 150-160 characters.

Although Google and other search engines have specified a character limit for title tag and description, which is 65 character for Title and 150 character for description....but there is nothing like you can not use more then that....specifying the character limit means search engines give high preference up to those character limits only....rest of the keywords most of the time remains unseen by search engines.......so it is very important you provide your most important keywords within these character limits....

For title, 70 characters. While, keeping your meta description within 160 characters would be OK.
