Me to, two I lived in Russia when I was a kid and my russian was very good but I didn't use it in 10 years so now I don't know more then 10 words p.l.u.r.
I know two well, English and French, and I've tried to learn a couple of other European languages, but only retained a smattering of them. It's not like learning to ride a bike - you do need to keep in practice to remember anything more than the basics.
English, Italian and a *bit* of Maltese (family background). I learnt Italian from Grade 1 to 8, so I'd say I know it fairly well. Although we were never taught how to properly put long-ish sentences together
Good, then you can answer this pressing question: does puttanesca mean "very few ingredients", as they say in the Lemony Snicket film, or is it "whore sauce"?
Romanian English But i can understand very easy Italian and some Japoniese from when i was doing Karate and Judo
English and French are the two languages I know. Although, I haven't spoken French in a number of years so I'm pretty rusty.... I can read/understand it better than I can speak it these days.
I can speak Greek (Native), English (quite good but definitely not perfect), French (enough to communicate). I also speak Glaswegian , (anybody here from Glasgow?)
My native English, Spanish OK, some French. My French is pretty rusty. A couple of months ago in Alaska, I was trying to communicate with a Quebec couple who spoke only French. I thought I was saying to them, "Tomorrow my wife and I are going to Kenai to fish." But afterwards I realized that what I probably said to them was, "Tomorrow my wife and I are going to Kenai to sin!"
