If u are talking about whole website then u can cover up to 20 keywords. But.. for one webpage you can target only 2-3 keywords and you can also considered as for product website.
Is it true we can cover up to 20 keywords in one website....thought is only 2-4 keywords (ok to repeat few times)
?? I'm confused, are you saying that only a total of 20 keywords are used per domain? I have a 150,000 products and rank with quite a few of them by title, upc and other things.
So I should only have 2 to 4 for my home page but I can use those keyowrds up to 20 times on my homepage ??
How many keywords you can use per page depends on several factors, i.e. The more competitive your keyword and the better optimized the other pages are, the more keywords you have to use in a smarter way. Using the exact same keyword on one page is a good start. To make sure you get onto Google's page number one, you will need to use modified / long-tail keywords and related / LSI keywords, theming all of those on the same page, ideally in a silo structure, with a good number of high quality incoming links. Check your keyword competition on Google's page number one and how they are using the primary and secondary keywords on their pages. This gives you a good idea on what you need to do. Hope that helps. Karl p.s. I am currently writing a book on the subject, which you can download fr.ee at http://2iel.com, if you need more detailed information on how to use keywords to get to Google's page number one.
I think it depends on how competetive your keywords are. For example, if there are not many competitors you can rank 1st page for many keywords with low density on your page.
google keyword density and keyword abuse, or title abuse, depends on what factor you're looking at.... the answer lies within the question, too many keywords for what? the whole page? the title tag? content? catch my drift?...
