How many keywords can I/should I include in the anchor text of my backlinks?

    For example:

For the keywords: car engine and body kit

"How to pick the right car engine for your body kit"

    Would this count for both?

why would someone need an engine for the body kit? :)

yes, you can put your anchor that way if you want but it is wise to use anchor text variation. dont stick with ne anchor text always

one keyword per link title should be fine, alternate it is good, so that you don't repeat the same keyword over and over again, but alter it slightly i.e. "body kit" or "car body kit" or "custom body kit" which gives the same message, but looks more natural in the eyes of the search engines.

Thanks for the info. Of course the engine and body kit phrase had a different purpose than to make sense contextually.

What about inbound linking? Is it ok if I anchor a whole sentence (5-6 keywords)?

yes it's ok to anchor a whole sentence but it's not going to be very useful as google will not take every word on it and consider it relevant to that link

I have found 5-6 words works well if it makes sense and people are searching for that 5-6 word sentence.

less words is better always. In the case of forum, some limited to 60 character/ line

Best is, determine the keyword which you want to target in order to rank well for search engine and maintain using the same one. But that doesn't hurt to rotate or use a different one.
