I use 4-5 keywords in the meta tags. Do meta tags still weigh on Google?

    Hi
It all depends on your site.A meta tags should consist of 8-10 tags where you can place your targeted keywords at the first position(ie most to least).Remember to include these keywords into your content. The most important one,a domain name keyword will always work for you.

Yes for some time now. Google does read meta tags, keywords included, but does not use then as a ranking factor any more. Thats what most of the experiments done lately suggest. The reason for Google not using it seems logical because a webmaster can use keywords which may not be relevant to the page. If Google used them as a ranking factor then the search results would become irrelevant, something Google would not want to happen.

Google only read the </title> and the meta description so you need to make sure you tiltle and meta are related to the actual page.

I generally use between 4-5 keywords in the meta tag for keywords. This helps to keep the balance of strength between each keyword high.
