What do you think, how many keywords should be targeted per post or page? I normally target 3 keywords. But I always have a question, If I have 6 relevant keywords (related to same post) and I want to use them in a article, can I use it? WHat are the pros and cons of using more keywords in a article?
3 or 4 is enough I guess. If you will exceed from that, it will be a little harder to optimize such key phrase.
Unless you have several that overlap well, it would be best to just target 1 or 2 per post. If you are targeting 3+ phrases you may not be properly optimized for any of those phrases. Basically your keywords would get diluted. Also, search engines pay attention to things like how close to the beginning of the title tag the keyword is used.
I think using 6 keywords would be too much especially if they each have related words. My old boss used to target only one keyword per article in her niche sites and blogs. She must be meeting with some success because she hasn't changer her technique. I prefer to target two keywords per post
I normally target one keyword and let Google find the long tail keywords that might be present. The aim is to rank well for that one keyword so that users will find what they're looking for; the rest is just bonus. Targeting too many keywords makes it less relevant to the user.
I've been advised to use only one keyword per page. But my personal experience is that i've got 3 and all ranking well. Then again, 6 is too much i'd say. no more than 3 is recommended in my opinion.
Do you mean 3 keywords per single page? Sometimes we have to place more keywords to describe something, or it will lead confusion to the reders. How to deal with this? Please advise.
you cant endup with any number of keywords....its all depends on the content and keyword relevancy of that content...normally i will use keywords based on the content quality...and combination of primary and its secondary keywords...
I think it's better for you to use 3 - 5 keyword in 1 post. and spread it around 3-5% in your article. .
