In my own opinion and my own practice,I can say 2-3 keywords in an article of 500 words is enough and doesn't look annoying. The best results come when a picture with the keyword takes place in an article.Because when someone search for images your picture from the article can rank in the results. In other words,2 or 3 keywords in the text and 1 for the picture.
2-3 keyword used in a article with different targeted URL and the keyword density also matter and you have to use your targeted keyword in resource box.
In article body section you are targeted only two keywords. but you can also apply other keywords to author bio, summery. And also used to your creativity.
As for mine, I don't care about the keyword density now. Google has cleared the point about keywords density. It is not true. There is not such keyword density nowadays, I mean about certain percents to be working or not. What you should bear in mind is "quality". In my blog, I rarely use 500-word article. So I usually write 700 to 1000-word article as it is the standard one (700-word)... So - how to properly optimized your contents with your chosen keywords? As we all know that Google has became even wiser now, we can't fool them. They know we are just using keywords to be in the top - so they would probably ignore us - so our effort for this thing turn to vain. What to do? Remember this - "use keywords naturally". So, are you using it naturally? p.s. I won't claim to be an expert, am just like you sharing my opinion, but this is based on what I have read out there
If keyword density is low in a article it is good for that article and that site also which you are promoting. 1200 article should have only 5 keywords that's all.
Two percent sounds good. It could be a little higher. You also want to include variations of you keywords. If you are writing an article using "keyword density" as your chosen keyword instead of simply repeating that phrase several times, use "density of keywords" as a variation. You should also use the two works in the phrase separately. The most important part is that when you put it all together, it needs to sound good. You are writing for people not spiders.
anyone here suggest keyword percentages, and basically for 600 words 2% - 3% are fine. but keywords are not the only things search engine consider to make your site high rank or banned. No one answer about LSI, so repeating what the thread starter question, what is LSI should we use it ?
I feel like it's better to target one main keyword with a few supporting keywords (such as long tail keywords). If you would like to rank for two main keywords, I feel like the better approach would be to just create two pieces of content instead of trying to stuff two or more keywords into one article. But if really want more than one keyword in an article, make sure the article is lengthy enough so that it doesn't look like the same words are being used over and over again.
Target one keyword in one article and use its variants, make sure you have keyword in first paragraph which looks naturally.
Everyone answers you here but the most important part on this article creation was not mention. Engaging content features at least 2 or 3 quality related sources in every story that you publish and this will show the search engine that your content is worth sharing and beneficial to others.
I'm pretty sure that keywords provide Google with guidance through the whole article, so it's important that they are implemented from the beginning to the end of the text. Of course, they have to be placed wisely and in different parts of it, and most of all - not to ruin the meaning of the sentences and the overall article quality. That being said, the keyword density should be somewhere between 2% and 4%, but nowadays Google is smarter and will get signals from keywords' synonyms, too.
