It depend your website, depend you and depend it market. It is good target 3-4 keyword in a webpage of your website.
Hi mate, you take only 3 keyword. Firstly take low competition Keyword after take High competition ... They are sufficient for business if you work on daily basic ...
As I know You can use as much as keywords you want but make sure that don't pick high competitive keywords try to choose that keywords which have high searches & low competition ...
HI, It is depend upon your website pages as starting you need at least 10 pages and per page you should be targeted 2 or 3 keywords at this way total keyword would be 20 to 30. You can use for keyword research Google keyword suggestion tool.
It's depend on your targeting market and product. Generally 10 keywords are good to start, after that you can increase the list of keywords. First do business listing and directories ,bookmarking and search engine optimization from the second month you can start article and press release, don't choose high pr directories, start slowly, when keywords visible on google then you can choose a high pr directories.
It depends how many pages your website have & on how much is different from one another than think about on what keyword you want to use to get rank on search engines. but keep in mind more keywords means more traffic on your web page but it also a little harder to you to rank all of them on search engine & also take time to get rank to all of your keywords!
I used the keyword tool on google adwords to find keywords/phrases that are relevant to my website. I choose 10 keywords with alot of monthly searches, but not too much as im starting out & i think it will be slightly easier to get better rank in the less used keywords. I also checked the competition on each keyword/phrase & went for low - med competition. I then added these keywords into my website/webpage & then started to build blog, forum & web-directory back-links to my website using the keywords/phrases i choose as the anchor text in the backlinks.
The general rule of thumb is always go for about 3-5 good search key words..Anything more than that is overkill and will be too obvious for the reader
Why would having more than 3-5 keywords be too obvious for the reader? - Keyword/Phrases are in the head of the page. People who view your website will not see them at all, no matter wiether its 1 keyword or 100! I would suggest 10-15 keywords no more!
With the link building, what link building would you do? Is that for backlinks? Do you recommend for the SEO/keyword ranking; 'How long would you spend on the research? Would you place the keywords in certain areas on the website? i.e. on static pages on wordpress? I am using wordpress and I am going to be doing a website on food, health&fitness etc and I want to get certain keywords to get the best SEO ranking. How would you spread it across the level on the website?
Mike4 - I tend to agree with you. What i deem to be very important, is that every page/ article is of a high quality, and original content. Set up for the reader, and google will pick up and rank accordingly
