How many keywords do you focus on?

So how many keywords do you focus on with your blog?

Do you focus on more than one at a time?

How do you decide what to focus on?

 

I have seen some site attain a huge portfolio and some sites attain zero. Start with one and go from there.

3. after some keyword research

 

I typically start with 2-3 keywords and see how they go, then rotate. Choose your keywords based on keyword research and the niche you are trying to target.

 

when i start a website i usually goes on 1-3 keywords based on popularity, and then i extend from there.

 

Focus maximum of 3-5 keywords related on your blog content.

 

on my blogs i am currently working on 3-4 keywords only.

 

It really doesn't matter after google panda update. You can use 3-22 keywords....

 

Well I focus on 3 Keywords at a time....

To decide what to focus on you have to see 2 things....

1. Low Competition
2. Higher Searches....

What I mean by that is, that you must have your targeted keywords in low to medium competition and exact searches must be greater than 4k-5k......

It would really worth working on that keyword.....

I am currently using 40 keywords.......

 

You should only focus on about 3-5 KWs per blog comment.

I focus only 2 keywords....

 

i am focousing on 4-5 keywords.

 

I will focus on 2-4 keywords at a time in blog.

I will also go for keyword research and select keywords which has less competition and more searches.

 

Starting from long tail 4-5 keywords, which are most relevant and have search count. So you can ranked these keywords soon.

normally i aim for about 5 keywords per page

 

For a per web page i focus on 4-5 keywords. Always target your primary keywords first.

 

After panda update we have to focus on large number of keywords. Focusing on few is not applicable for Panda.

 

1-3 keywords would just be enough since you just started. Based on experience, don't settle for one phrase keywords because it would be hard for you (or you're optimizer, if you're hiring) in getting your site exposed or indexed on Google. Be specific. The more specific you are with your keyword, the more it is likely for your website to become searchable on Google.

What you should do:
1. Keyword research
2. Check keyword competition
3. Keyword monthly searches (how many people search for your keyword)

 

I am focusing on 5 keywords at the moment, I will increase the keyword list once this 5 keywords position improves.
