We can optimize as many keywords as you want however you need the content and landing pages to support the keywords.

For Generic keyword, which have more competition you would need a landing pages and regular articles to support the keywords.

For services which are offered in different locations like Plumbing, Photography etc check out of the competition of the keywords. Club 3-4 locations on 1 page.
Make sure you dont use the same keywords on different pages so work out the keywords and locations first and then create a plan to target which keywords on which page.

Depends on how much quality backlinks you can build for them to rank higher.Initially I would advice not to select more than 4 keywords.When you get rank well for them then select another four.

 

you should target only 1 keyword .
use that in your title tag, use that in meta description , in meta keywords and also in you page use that key word as much as you can.

I have tried this if you use only one keyword then you will surely get reward. as it is indexed fasted and better than others.

It depend upon your website that which type of keyword it wants.

 

You can target 4-5 keywords initially.
