I usually go by who gave the itrader.

If someone has a bunch of itrader that all came from accounts with little posts and little itrader, then I wouldn't trade.

There's no point that a user reaches to become trustworthy. Value trust with your own measures.

10+. More important is their posts. I have dealt with Peons for large sums of money; that's gone well though, but with the recent spate of scamming I'm going to be more careful :)

I don't look at the iTrader number...i look at a lot of things, length of account, iTrader (in small part), who left those iTraders, rep, post quality, interaction with other members...etc...i do a much more indepth review than just looking at a number in their post

I look at their itrader, their rep points, post count and how long they have been here. If they had like 50 itraders 11 bubbles of reps, 2000 posts and have been here for like 3 months or less. I would say spammy poster or just shady.

I would say those who have been here for like a year or more with 2k - 5k+ posts and about 70 itraders with like 7+bubbles of reps would appear more reputable than one with the same amount under 3 months vs 1yr.

    It doesn't matter.
Even it is seen that persons with high traders and reputation scamming other so you can't say that this number of iTrader makes you a trusted person.

Whether you are old/new,just try to trade in a truthful way and you will see it for yourself that people will know you as a trusted person.:)

You have to decide on your own who is trustworthy. No "badge" is going to tell you that. If you hang around a while, post, read, and get to know a little about people, you will find out who you can trust. It doesn't happen in 2 seconds...and it doesn't matter how many iTrader and reps you have.

People strive naturally for rank...it's best to just ignore it on the forums and go with your gut feelings.

And not only looking at everything mentioned above, but also look at the % of positive iTraders.

And look carefully at their most recent ones. Even trusted members sometimes take a turn for the worst and end up scamming people.

i would say that at least 2-3 $100+ deals that have past the 90 paypal chargeback limit, is a good sign

Worst two deals I made here at DP were with experienced members with tons of iTrader and positive rep. (One I overpaid for what I got, the other was just an ass of a seller who threatened me with a negative iTrader because I asked a question how to download a huge zipped file I just purchased.)

iTrader and Rep are just tools. They are a guide, not a guarantee, when dealing with members. I find that my own experience with someone is the best indicator of future behavior. That is why I regularly deal with the same small group of people.

When there is a matter of Trust then you can also consider Total Number of posts,Green Rep Bar besides iTrader. iTraders from high profile members count in plus benefit.
