When doing internal links, you shouldn't be thinking to much about the search engines here. You should be thinking more about your visitors. For example, if you have no internal links then how do your visitors no where your pages are located. If you have 1 just on the homepage then your visitors may have to keep pressing the back button. How I have done my site is that all of the major sections of the site like the homepages of each sub domain is linked from every single page on my site for easy navigation for my visitors.

I assume that you're talking about your site http://www.qwesz.com , right?

Your main site Google PR shows up as 0 although your site has 8000+ pages in the index. Perhaps your site is penalized by Google for some reason? Duplicate content maybe? I think it might be keyword spamming. You have a lot of very similar categories and tags which might trigger Google's spam filter and your articles are tagged with hundreds of them each.

I also saw some pages that had up to 4 consecutive links next to each other with the same url target and same anchor text (http://www.qwesz.com/link-popularity/get-traffic-jams-with-referral-links-on-your-website.html - anchor text: "link popularity"), you should better build a logical link structure and not overdo links to the same url on the same page. For example put one link to your main site on every page and one link to each category that is relevant to the corresponding content, but shrink your tags and categories to an amount which would be useful for a surfer seeking for information.

As john269 said, you should rather optimize your website for surfers than for the search engine robots - this way you will rank better, too, in the long run. As the Search Engine Algorithms improve over time, they will tend to see the website more and more like a surfer does, and will rank the webpages best which do not only have relevant unique content but also are built surfer friendly and neat.

Good luck with your site! ;)

Sitemap is the one that you are searching for. Sitemap is important for SE spider . You might consider dhtml menu too where you visitor can click on the internal link of your site according to "categories"

Internal link has nothing to do with SERPs, but good organized internal link structure will help spiders to crawl your pages.

As above said, internal links shall be for visitors. Just naturally allot your internal links, and make sure it's convenient for visitors to find and to go every page of your website.
