How Many Hours/Days Per Week Do You Work On Internet Marketing?

I heard someone saying about working for 25mins at a time then forcing yourself to stop for 5mins & repeating produces better results....have yet tot try though!

 

About 1-2 hours a day and about 2 hours on newsletters. This time is strictly spent on IM.

Before I started automating most of my tasks such as directory submission, social bookmarking and scraping for high PR links I was spending about 4-6 hours a day 7 days a week and getting about half of this done.

 

I can work on my business forever (laughs). But I know that it is not healthy. I have been sick because of not being able to understand what wonders tomorrow can bring. I think highly of people who are able to build boundaries, think of their lives apart from their business lives, and most importantly live their lives in spite of working hard. One of the greatest challenges, so far, that is, I have faced as a business owner is to know the difference with what I want to accomplish with what can be done in the course of the day.

I generally work online anywhere from 4-6 hours every day (including Sunday). My efforts generate anywhere from $800-$1500 per month in affiliate commissions and Clickbank sales.

 

I work 10 hours a day M-F, only weekends when things are tight. Working longer is not always the solution. Networking and finding other people to help you get what you need done is always smarter. Control your time & money do not let it control you.

 

Do you classify forum discussion as part of internet marketing? I spend about an hour every day on forum participation. When I have mood to write articles, I will write a few articles on that day. Other than that, I try to write just one blog post.

 

I totally agree. I need to figure out a way to step away from my business each day to relax, spend time with my family, etc.

 

3-4 hours per day during the week. I do find it difficult though, to stick to the boring bits, which makes my activities continuously wander to different things - suppose I need to outsource boring bits, but will then still end up using 3-4 hrs per day to find new things to do.

I typically work about 2 hours a day.... if I could work more I would. Yes I plan my workload everyday...the reason being that I get little enough time as it is and the work I do do needs to be effective and prioritised.

I'm a newbie and work a full time job. My goal is to one day quit my "real" job and work this internet marketing full time. Mon - Fri I spend at least 4 -5 hrs every night when I get home. During the day, I spend about an hour. On the weekends I take my laptop with me and work on my online business while waiting for the kids to finish soccer or baseball practice or waiting for the wife to finish shopping. I've been running this schedule for about a month and I'm obsessed with learning and implementing what I've learned.

 

I would spend maybe 4-5 hours per day, 5 days a week, but that's because my main work is affiliate marketing, which is all about promoting your site through internet marketing!

i spend about an hour working per day and seven hours browsing the net, playing games, socializing, youtubing etc...

 

if i work, maximum 1 hours.
if i don't work, during a day, at least 12 hours.
i am very consistent

 

I do eight hours a day, five days a week.
Not doing much work is fun at first; when I initially made some sort of killing from internet marketing I did almost no work and lazed around all day.
Then boredom came in and no amount of amusing activities could drive it out. Working regular office hours was and still is the solution.

 

This is a career. I do have a 9-50 I probably put in close to 15-20 hours a week If I didn't I'd put in more but I still need family time and some me time.
I have a strategy that has a weekly schedule so I am working on following that schedule to a T..
Whether you are doing MLM or Affiliate marketing.. to make money you need to spend time, especially if you aren't doing any PPC.

 

I spend 2-3hours hours a day, but i dont work solid.
I do other things whilst i am doing IM

 

I work, if you can call it that, about four hours a day, Monday to Friday, and check and reply to any emails from my affiliates both days on the weekend, probably an hour each day. Oh, yes, it's all I do.

If I'm on holiday (often <grin>) I always try to check for emails from my affiliates daily - everything else can wait, and does.

Having said that, I've been online for four years now and have much of my business automated.

Big hints:

Get an autoresponder, and page builders.

Get url and link tracking - track everything

Both can be had for as low as $9 a month.
