What I do is I sit down and figure out exactly what I am going to do for my promotional strategy and the overall time line for the project. Then I calculate backwards.

For example. If I knew that I was going to need 1,000 links and I had a month to do it I would say ok well then I need to do 250 a week which breaks down to 50 a day which breaks down to X amount of time. It's more about the work that needs to be done not the time it takes to do it.

Also you need to decide which methods you are going to use and then allot an amount of time for each. Just saying ok, two hours a day or 5 hours a day promoting my site doesn't give you a definitive direction. I have found that without a strict schedule/to do list it is all to easy to waste time surfing around. I mean look at me now. I was working on my website and here I am posting in a forum. See what I mean.

    Hope that helps!!!

Well I leave this stuff to others. I have the money to pay SEO experts to do this for me. So I can focus on my actual products.

I am just starting my business as we speak and plan on dedicating as much time to it as possible. Fingers crossed it will work.
I know that there are many right and wrong ways to perform internet marketing but I genuinely believe that hard work will pay off in the end as long as you have a solid idea to build on.
If only there were a few more hours in the day, lol

As many as it takes. But it depends on how you are promoting them. Some methods take longer than others but you should keep working at it until you have made the desired amount of money from it.

3-5 hours a day works for me, you have to find what works for you too.

The best way - is to make other people to promote your site, it is difficult, but possible. It must be really interesting. The best example - Facebook...

it depends on the site.. if your site is very new then you want to work 3 hours to post quality contents and SEO, if your site is 1 year old then 3 hours per week is more than enough... you don't need to do any seo...
