Since my websites are my business and my sole source of income, I spend 10-12 hours a day on all aspects of the sites -- content, promotion, programming, marketing.
Have been using it for three weeks, I spend around an hour/day on making website changes (its work in progress) Once or twice a day I get courage to look at the adsense account (getting 4 cents worth click every 2nd or 3rd day is not quite encouraging enough). So far have not started advertising, which explains the lack of traffic. Zafar
6 hours a night- after doing my day job. Hoping to turn that around so that evenings are devoted more to family and recreation. Close- but not quite there yet.
A few hours a day on general site stuff. That includes AdSense stuff as well but is mainly content writing.
I am new at it, and slightly obsessed, so lately I have been sppending every waking hour outside of my day job (and few there too) on the computer, tweaking the site, reading this forum, checking adsense earnings (always hoping more is coming in than going out). Most of my time goes to trial and error as I pretty much dont know d*@k about web design. I mean, 3-5, average. =)
20 minutes / day to check stats 60 minutes to make one new article for 3 sites every day 60 minutes to reasearch new placements on site 30 minutes helping others with AdSense optimization 120 minutes reserved to promotion and more time for me
I am not working for adsense. I am working for my website visitors - they like what I post. Adsense - just a tool of converting their attitude to some income )
I've recently stopped spending so much time on adsense after I've discovered there are faster ways to monetize your website. Simply take charge of selling the space on your websites and you see money faster.
Better to push adsense far to the back in terms of monetizing your website. Me, I spend no time now since I found out there are better ways of making money that hoping for clicks on ads.
I am spending at least 4 hours per day on it. This is after my normal 8-5. I also will work 15-18 hours each weekend.
I agree with this. I got an Azoogleads account and it is starting to work pretty good for me. They payouts are larger and payment is much quicker than Google. I still see a place for the revenue of Google, but there are advertisers that pay much more money on a per lead basis than you can earn from clicks for many niches now.
