Should i register to each and every forum in my niche or only the best ones with PR of 4 and above. Is it sufficient if i work on 5 high PR forums in my niche? Thanks.
hello, there is maximum PR for forum back Links is PR5, and minimum PR4, if you can try your best level then you might be got PR 6 Links, but as per my view this is very difficult, because for that you must have authorized account in any forum website.
Well PR is always changing so I don't think that you should let it stop you from joining a newer forum if it is in your niche. It will most likely grow and if it's closer to your niche than a higher PR forum, it could be a more valuable link one day. Also, if it's your niche, then you will probably get some traffic directly from those forums, which is always a good thing. -Danielle
The correct answer is none. Forums are a waste of time for trying to get links for ranking purposes. All that will happen is you'll gain a nasty reputation as a spammer among the communities that your links "infect".
So Dan the forum signatures we are using here in DP or any other forum, would not help in increasing SERP.
Pretty much, except for the least competitive of keywords. (You know, the ones you can get top rankings for just by sneezing.)
There is no 'sufficient' limit. You should build as many different backlinks form as many different types of venues as possible.... forever. Or at least until you have so much traffic you have to upgrade your server. You should not get 100 bakclinks from forums, and then say, "well, that will do it." The fact is, it probably won't. But that doesn't mean you should stop. When I promote a new site, I start out by posting on 50 different blogs, and 50 different forums. I buy 50 different paid reviews and 50 different text link ads on pr2+ sites. That's a pretty good start. Then I make it my my daily routine to try to build 10 new links per day.... for the rest of my life. Or, for as long as it is my job to promote the site. Think of it like a diet. You don't starve yourself for a couple week, then revert back to your regular eating habbits. It's a lifestyle change. It's something you have to do everyday...forever.
Wow Selectsplat, that was one of the best responses I've ever read to the question of link building. I agree with you 100%. I'm so tired of people saying they heard that something doesn't work anymore, even though they don't really know for sure. For example, many so called "seo experts" are writing that google doesn't count link exchanges or that they now cancel one another out. Or, forum and blog posting is now useless. In my opinion, every link can count. I use article writing, site reviews, forum and blog posting and yes relevant link exchanges. And from my experience, all of these help. In fact, I now get hundreds and hundred of visitors a day just from direct link exchanges (not to mention the the PR, etc.) I got a question for you? How do you find it possible to build 10 links a day? I have a hard time finding just 1 or 2 a day.
I use google to find blogs and forums that are very closely related. Then I find new discussions that I am knowledgeable about. Then I jump into the discussion. After a post or two, I drop the link. Currently, I've been promoting www.adhocads.com, which is a text link ad brokerage. So I keep tables on the 50 blogs and 50 forums that are closely related to this topic, and each day, I find 10 articles or threads that are closely related, and I join the conversation and subtly drop my link. (see beginning of this paragraph). Or I write an article and submit it to a article directory. Or I exchange links with someone. Or I find someone selling very closely related links on a quality site for a reasonable price. it's not that hard to do. it takes me an hour or two per day, but usually, I'm just surfing around anyways, so it's not really any more work that I was going to do anyways.
