How many have switched to Google Talk?

How many of you are using Google Talk as the primary IM? I ask because I had over 300 contacts in my AOL IM and have ask them to try G Talk but so far only 9 have switched.

I used googletalk for 2 minutes... then I realized that no one I know uses it, so I'm back to MSN where I can find all my contacts.

I thought I was going insane - been happening to me too. If you figure it let me know...pisses me off sometimes:)

No one I know with the exception of one or two people got into Gtalk either. So it runs on my machine but I'm not really using it.

On a side note, why is this thread in the Adsense forum?

I think it's pretty cool. I'm going to hook it up so that it's wireless for the talk feature. As for the IM portion, I'm sending requests to my current list of contacts.

I love Gtalk because it uses up a fraction of the resources of other IM programs.

You may be having MSN troubles as of late as they are busy trying to interface with YM ...

I use gaim (when I bother to load it). Google Talk is also installed though. I don't use it as an IM, but it makes a better Gmail notifier than the Firefox Gmail notifier :p

MSN and yahoo are going to be compatible soon. I'm surprised google doesn't step up and do the same thing to get more people to use it.

Same here, I can't have everyone using the same IM so I use Trillian to get everyone on one system.

I don't use Google Talk until someone I know uses it and makes me to use it.

I use it BECAUSE none of the people I know use it. I have 4 people in the list :p
I like keeping my privacy private.. I can't stand it when people can see when I am online.

For the same reason I have no mobile

google talk will never succeed because no one use it so no one are going to switch because their friends use MSN..
