How many h1 tags on a page

    how many h1 tags should i have use in a single page?

    i am confused about h1 tags, i read many blogs but not found correct answer. So anyone know about h tags then tell me and also tell how many h1 tags google suggegest.

    According to google guidelines only one h1 is used for single pages, you can use 4-6 h2 tags instead in a single page.

    H1= Heading 1, search engines crawls H1 tagged word as more important than any other tags and words. Better to use only one H1 tag per page (Most of bloggers using h1 for post title).

    No need to use h1 as your post title automatically truncates to h1(i hope the same format is used in all WP themes). Instead use h2, h3...

    Two to Three are pretty enough. Don't overuse Header tags. Just use your main keyword (or two!) and try to do the best On-Page SEO you can :)

    Your H1 is the most important tag on the page, you should only use one H1 and then work down in the order of H2, H3 etc. Be careful not to over optimise the page now google has introduced Panda 3.3

    According to me you can use h1 tag only one time for your single page. h1 is most significant tag for every page. When you use h1 tag more then one time it's not good for your site.
