How many forums?

I’m a member of this forum and another one. I’ve just started out at forums. I think participating in two or three forums would do; joining too many there would not be much time to be with each. What’s the opinion of more experienced forumers?

 

Joining many forums will definitely ask for more time to manage.. but on other hand you will get more publicity and more backlinks for your site.

Also, every forum has different kind of crowd, so if sometime you are looking for some help it is better to post on different forums. This way you can have different feedbacks from different people.

 

I agree with you both: Some forums are great, but i would not join in more than 3. Because you should concentrate of the content of thoose forums and you should be able to post quality. It also depends on the forum itself and also on the forumsoftware. vBulletin forums are the best ones. So they should be quality and should be "used".

 

WOW I think (no comment) I am a forum piggy. I belong to and post at least once a day to over 60 forums.

I have over 26000 signiture links however DP is the most inbounds we get from a forum other then our own 2 forum which are two of the forums of the 60 we belong to.

i've only just joined DP, I am a member of 4 other forums (internet related) and thats enough for me at the moment... i then have 3 which are more social/interest forums which i use to help push some of my own sites as well as participate as i like to.

so basically as many as you want, you will soon find out which ones you enjoy posting on.

 

you can join as many forums as you want.. just be sure you can contribute not just spamming.

 

If she's the forum piggy then I'm the forum hussy.. LOL I say what ever floats your boat. I own 4 and like to expand my horizons and get away from my duties sometimes. I give myself permission to go on break from the boards just so I can expand my own knowledge as I'm an academic at heart, visiting and participating in many forums allows me to also expand my own creative genius. LOL .

I visit or am a member of at least 90 forums,, 20-30 that are on my own, and the 70 forums at CrowdGather

 

How can you join 90 forum and participate in ? Do you use software to run all of them ?

 

I'm member of 6 forums that are related to my niche and every day I post 2 or 3 messages in them.

And DP is for knowledge

 

i'm a member of 10 forum and DP is my 9th forum that i joined.
but i'm not so active in all forums, just checked and not make a post everyday to all of that

 

My self just a member of DP but currently looking to branch out to others for the above listed reasons.

 

I've joined a lot of forums (20+) for some reasons like meeting friends, for publicity while some are for purely backlinks purposes. However, I'm only loyal to three... one is DP, the other is a local community forum and the other one is my personally managed forum.

 

I try to visit 3 of the forums and spend about an hour for all of them To be honest evverything is the same data. I mean SEO forums.
