How many external links can be beared for an old site in 2002

    My site is set up in 2002. Recently, Its keywords are always fall down, so I want to make breakthroughs at external links. But I don't know how many external links per day will be best. Who could tell me?

    Website built in 2002 is not very old if you have been modifying it and keep it up to date. It also depends the kind of technology on which the website was built.
