So what percentage of eggs you have in one basket (Google Adsense)?

For me, this percentage was around 65% and I am trying to bring it to 50% from a long time but it does not seems to be working well.

    I am still at 60%.

    What about you?

Since diversifying my advertising these past couple of months Google accounts for about 20% of my total advertising income.

There is better sources of income out there. In my opinion Google isn't what it used to be. Especially if you have a site that brings in more traffic your options increase in which Ad networks "want you".

I am a little surprised your text link ads revenue isn't more... or do you mean revenue from text-link-ads.com ?

Because when it hits the fan and that pay isn't good anymore, but you've come to rely on that income for whatever you do in your life, you'll be on here complaining bitterly about the way Google have stitched you up.

Much better to diversify and try and have a few more options so that when the big G decides to either kill your account, penalise your SERPS position, or just stop paying out the value it is currently, you have other income streams.

its the same for concentrating your SEO efforts just at google - much better to try and get well ranked across multiple engines, that way when google crashes out, you are not too badly hit.

I have all my eggs in one basket in that I only really run one site. Having said that I do have to split between AdSense, Clicksor and and Adbrite because of the content on my site.

It would be better to diversify but you have to try out all the options to see what works best for you - monitor what's going on and change to another provider if required. There's no contracts involved so you're not tied down.

    Cheers, p.

My percentages are irrelavant because I'm still only earning pennies! I've just read your blog - that's an impressive amount of earnings for this month!

Do you mind me asking how many websites you're running?

    Many thanks, p.

My best earner is Kontera, then CJ after that. I have 0% Adsense anymore because my account was banned for "invalid clicks" after 2 years in the program. It only figures, October was on track to be my biggest Adsense month ever and I got the dreaded ban notice. I'm just glad I didn't have all my eggs in Adsense basket because they're on a banning craze once again (they have to do something to make sure they have nice end of year earnings so their stock goes up even more).

be warned, I'm not so stupid to click my own ads or play games and Adsense banged me. My friend got banned this month with over $20K in earnings due (lol, he pulled his $20K per month Adwords account). Google is not to be trusted. Don't believe me, just search for "Banned by Adsense" and look at all the legit blogs who have been bushwhacked.
