How many DPers own or support guns?

im a army guy, i have an m15a4 tatical rifel at my house, nice pice

 

Although I have never tried it but I would love to do it. Shooting is a nice sport and I have interest in guns.

 

does fake guns count?

 

would like to have one one day

 

Dont shoot long guns much anymore, but in the shotgun category I've currently got:

• a double barrel 12 gauge coach gun (for SASS competition a new pursuit... but a convincing home defense piece too),
• a .410 for varmints,
• a Browning Sweet 16 semi-auto for real hunting

Have an assortment of rifles (mostly gathering dust), and honestly lose track of what pistols are around cause my wife and I both have a number of 'em. Prefer a 1911 style .45 if in need... but the one I use the most is a Beretta 92FS. If you could get rocks into the mag it'd chamber 'em, it's that smooth, and it's easy to field strip for cleaning.

Added: Duh... you asked how many have shot a gun, not how many have a shot gun. LOL. Yeah, ummm... once or twice (a week).

 

I live in Canada. We have shopping malls with shooting ranges. Spent some time in the country and shot lots of guns in my younger days but don't really care for them now.

I shot one when I went to Pakistan for a holiday, I was 13/14 !

 

I don't have it and in fact, I don't want to hold it either.

 

Was in the army and shot a loooot of weapons. Some that i can name are:
60-MM MORTAR (M19)
50 cal machine gun
glock 18 and 23
desert eagle (crappy pistol, jams all the time)
M16 and m203 attachment (me holding mine in my avatar)
c9a1
carl gustav

my 64 year old mum has an high powered air rifle..she pops off rabbits on her property..so funny to watch,,scores about 9/10 in hits..shrp shooter she is..

 

I started with my brothers air rifle/bb gun. He used to terrorize my mates by putting matches in it and shooting them in the leg.

I shot my dad's 22 with telesite, also his M1 semi auto and a his bolt action 303 (these pack a punch).

Also did some pistol shooting at a range with a 32 (i think...it was pretty small anyway)

Shooting is fun....but not getting shot. My brother shot me in the back with a slug once...he 'claimed' he was shooting a piece of string and it richochet off into my back. It hurt like hell and he told me to inform our mothet that I had sustained the injury by falling out of the tree....memories...

Yeah. Here's me at the range qualifying for my Concealed Pistol License...

 

I have fired a couple of rounds during my ROTC days, it was kinda thrilling.

 

I never have and never will. Gun fanatics are creepy as hell, the only guns I fire are in video games.

 

ROFL... meaning you'll spend your life dependent on someone who IS willing to pick one up to protect your pink little butt, tho you think they're creepy as hell. Gotta love liberal "logic".
