But then, you probably buy new ones at a greater rate than they expire. I so wish I had the know how necessary to make money on 2000+ domains, or just the 6 or so I have now
No, I just let them expire. They have done their job for me by that time. I suppose I could at least auction them off. I may try that this year to recoup some of the initial expense.
i think about five or six some domains registered in registers that are closed and i can't get my domains
7 Right now. Too bad I can't use one of them, as I can't code worth crap and have a great idea, but no way to implement it.
Like I said I have just under 200 and I have them all reg'd with GoDaddy. I have used a few other registrars in the past and IMO GoDaddy is the best. The names are cheap, just find a coupon code. The service is good, 24/7 telephone support (though sometimes unknowledgalbe employees answer). And the user control panel is EXCELLENT for alot of DNs. As far as I'm concerned GoDaddy is #1.. Just thought I'd share
I was going to do some testing and a larger project so I purchased a package of domains and have never developed them or anything. I have some hopes for a few of them, but haven't really bothered. I've also purchased a handfull of domains for ideas that I hope to eventually develop.
Personally, I "own" 4, but I regularly register domains for other people/companies. Over the last 5 years or so I guess I've let about 10 lapse as well.
Foreign domains are effen expensive. We just went to register a bunch for a new project and the prices shocked me. We decided to use sub domains instead lol.
