I already have the cheapest godaddy hosting account. Can I host more than one domain on it?

It depends upon hosting pacakage you took from GoDaddy. What the pack you took from them ?

Most hosting companies just allow one domain per account.
You would have to see the terms of your godaddy account to see if you can have more than one domain.
Probably not if you got the cheapest.

With my hosting, the starter plan allows you up to 5 domains on one account.

Keep in mind this part, that very few people understand.
If your hosting account is say 100mb storage, this will be spread among the domains you put onto that account. Not 100mb per domain on that account!
Same with bandwidth. If your hosting account has say 1gb per month of bandwidth, that will be spread around to each domain. Not 1gb per domain!

Also be aware that you can use too many resources (CPU) when hosting a number of sites under a shared hosting plan. Probably not a problem with small static sites not getting much traffic. However several websites using Amazon affiliate scripts can easily get your account shut down. Long before you use your allotted bandwidth for the month. Just let the search engines all decide to visit at the same time!

Both of the hosts I use - Dreamhost and Jaguar PC - allow unlimited domains on the fairly cheap programs I use.

Where most hosts tend to get tight nowadays is MySQL and CPU usage. If you are going to mostly have static pages, given current bandwidth allowances, you can put plenty of domains up.

Dynamic sites, if they become popular, could become popular but hopefully that will be translated into income so you can pay for a more robust hosting package.

I am currently looking at a multiple domains (20) hosting plan that has unlimited bandwidth and with 25G of space. I feel this is pretty good for US$5.95 per month.

If it bills itself as "unlimited" bandwidth, you might as well stay away. Or, just prove them wrong by setting your work/school/home computers to download in loop some large file from the site. THey'll just remove your account, that's all ;-)

Smaller reseller hosts will sell "unlimited" bandwidth thinking that you'd use up CPU/Space before bandwidth, but it's somewhat dishonest, IMHO

In any event, GoDaddy's cheap plans do NOT allow multiple domains per account. You have to move into their 2 upper tiers (The dedicated and virtual dedicated) in order to host more than 1.

polurnet.com has good multiple domain hosting accounts; I have used them for over a year and have been very pleased.

Since it is improper to mention which hosting services (3) I have been subscribing to, I would not disclose them but suffice to say that a reseller account with unlimited domains with separate cPanel, 5 GB Space and 10 GB Bandwidth would be around USD7.00/month.

The beauty about a separate cPanel is that one could have unlimited sub-domains which are search-engines-friendly like beauty.website.hk.cn, acne.website.hk.cn, alonso.f1.hk.cn, england.a1.hk.cn, etc.

If I have the time/resources I could easily have thousands of sub-domains.

I called godaddy and got the answer.
Only 1 domain allowed on the cheapest plan. Must move up to the second for more, although he was confusing on how many that allows.

    Didn't I say that on June 12th?
Theorhetically their upper tears could host unlimited, although the specific user agreement limits that (But it changes so often, suffice it to say that I've hosted multi-hundred before with no "complaints")
