I know everyone has different directory lists, sites and all. But I wanted to know how many of your submissions have resulted in links to your website? For example - if you submitted to 1000, how many of them got you links, 500 how many? This is for manual submission results only I just wanted to get some feedback on this as I'm starting to do it more myself.
Manual submissions to paid directories have always got the listing indexed in the SE's Manual submissions to free directories are not guaranteed to get the listing indexed in the SE's Of course some will, but from experience you get what you pay for Paid links will always get approved so you will get your links and in nearly real time Free submissions to directories may never even get looked at let alone approved There will always be exceptions but we always pay
Well i think 90 out of 100 get listed. Usually it depends upon the link. Its its short and common domain like as : http://www.Igotl.com or something like that then it will give a good impression when admin of any directory see it in pending links page in the admin panel of his directory. So if the domain is like seo-friendly-web-directory.com or something like that then it will be not treated good by average directory owners. I must say here that i m also doing directory submission services and i gurentee that out of 100 90 will be listed. not offering my services here as i have already posted a thread on services catagory. At last i would say that out of 1000 directory submissions 700 can be listed or more depending on the domain and marketability and sometimes pr too. Thanks
Thakns for the feedback guys. I forgot to mention this is for free manual submissions. Muneeb2Good do you usually promise 90 out of 100 or 700 out of 1000 for free submissions or is this a paid option? How long does it take for 50% of your links to start registering for your services?
it depends on the set of directories and your websites, but a conservative guess would be about 50% after a couple of months
It's hard to tell unless you keep track of all your submissions. Some directories email you when you get approved, but some don't. Also approval is dependent on the site you submit, so it really depends. If you're promoting a viagra site, chances are you'll be rejected by 90% of all directories. However, if you're promoting a non-profit, family-friendly site, chances are you'll be approved for 99% of the general directories.
Out of more than 600 submissions I got only 200 backlinks. Some directory ask you to include a backlink in your submission and ingnore to review it. That's why you should check and remove their links
