How many directories should I submit?

I personally find that a few hundred is fine for what I do. Google knows how easy this is so I don’t believe they are putting as much weight as they used to. We all know that the content is the king. And not that cheap respun or written by a foreigner or keyword stuffed either. I mean good quality written for people and lots of it. Sorry about going off like that, I just feel like it should be said. lol

 

Yeah, and most of directories are no-follow will these be consider in ranking your site on High. And how big chances are the directories submission in as many as I can.?

NO you can submit to as many directory as you want but the things is what popularity that directory have. Submitting your websites to 5 PR2 directories is better than 100 PR0 websites.

 

Submit to all directories you find. But only if its appropriate for that directory and that it has a category that fits your site.

 

Don't forget to look at Alexa ranking of a directory to gauge (roughly, you could try search status firefox addon to see this info easily) what kind of traffic is likely to be referred, it's not just about link building for seo purposes - a good link from a relevant directory in the same or close niche can send some wonderfully targeted visitors by referral.

 

I think Its based on age of website . .

for old website its better to submit 30 and more directories on daily basis
for newly registered domain/website better to submit 10 to 15 directories on daily basis

 

It depends on you. You can submit your site to directories as many as you can. Mine is only 50 directories per day.

 

I think many as possible, but they should contain unique and fresh content.

you can submit your site to directories as many as you can because not all approved in one day some may take a week or months

 

I am glad to here that directories still help.

 

There are many different people here with directory lists showing both paid and free, as well as PR that each has. Find a good list, or someone that submits to directories, and give it a shot.

If you submit in 100 directories means, you will get approval for 10-20 at the initial stage, so based on this only the submission and approval rate.

 

I think submitting to viable, relevant directories is always a good decision. At least for getting your site off the ground and some links.

 

but how to i find that relevant directories if you have any ideas for please share with me...

 

i don't think submit directories to get traffic, i only get backlink from directories
