I wonder how many backlinks from directories is enough for a website. What would you answer this question?
300-1000+ the more back links the better, I just would not submit to 1000 directories in 1 day, best to spread it out over a couple of months.
Submit in top 100 directories and that's all. Google is not giving any importance to the links from Directories as we all know, directories are spamming in one or second ways. I never suggest directory submission.
Ive submitted to thousands in the past and its never done any harm. You can never have enough backlinks.
We don't actually have a concrete proof here if directory submission is a big help to make your site more popular right?
i always post 6-7 ones per days.I think it should be done slowly, not post to many directories in a short time, thus, it will be spammed by search engine
however one must analyse the opportunity cost of submitting to thousands of directories when efforts could of possibly been applied in more effective and effiecient areas? I would suggest using directory submission along side a balanced strategy of search engine optimisation.
DMOZ is a lottery - trust to my experience. If you were able to add your website to DMOZ - it's good, but if your site is not accepted - do not worry, there are many other popular directories which will add your site without any problems.
You can never have enough backlinks, so the more the merrier. Just spread them out a little bit rather than mass submit to hundreds of directories in one go.
i think backlinks of the number not as important as the quality, my site just quality 10 backlinks is sufficient.
