How many directories do you submit your site to?

I have a few aged domains. Just wondering, how many directories do you recommend submitting a site to?

 

I used to submit my sites to many, many directories; seems I've gotten wiser and only submit to a select few now days. I really hate wasting time.

I've had really good luck with some directories, others seem like a waste of time, so now when I am promoting a new site I stick to the ones that I know have worked for me in the past.

http://dmegs.com/ is one that is free and seems to have a nice result for me (I am not affiliated with this directory).

 

Have you ever consider that the problem could be you?
The only reason any good directory will reject your submission
if you neglected to read and follow Submission Guidelines or if
your site is nothing more than MFA useless piece of crap.

Now, if this is the case and some directory with policy that says
"We will Auto approve your submission, instantly" takes you site,
then you're far, far away from being lucky or to be exact, you are
lucky because you have no idea how unlucky you really are to be
a part of that directory.

Submit them to as many as directory you can.

 

i submit to almost 700 directories and get only arround 50 approvals which are indexed on google. so the rates are not that good
