How many directories do you guys have?

I only have one (almost a couple months old), and I just plan on spending all of my time on it. I'm currently designing a custom template for it (which I'm finding is harder than I thought it would be, getting ideas, etc). I've also been doing my best to promote it with the funds I have (Alexa is 86k after under 2 months, weekly average is 60k I think).

I'm just hoping that when the PR update comes, my hard work will pay off and I'll start seeing some real sales :).

Even though the market is saturated you can still get in and do well, but only if you have the drive and dedication that it takes in order to make it work. I own 2 directories but my main focus is on the one in my sig. Trying to sell the other one only because I just do not have the time to deal with it. But any way, if you have a strong budget and a directory that is well built then you can do it, just remember that it take time and money and if all goes well you will find your directory among some of the best out there.

    That is my thought.

Like banless said above goes the same for me, except I have several, but only 3 are my main focus and 1 of those three is experimental. I do tend to my focused directories while maintaining client based integrity first, which sometimes makes things harder on me, but so goes life in that nothing comes easy ;) I also used to support a script and have helped people by the thousands, but just recently, well, my sig says it all.

    I just started one.

I agree though there are a lot of directories out there already.

I wanted to create something a bit different. Something that provides the kind of link relevevance I've been looking for from other directories but found in short supply.

Just launched it a couple of weeks ago and I have had a few sites sign up already. I really wasn't expecting much until the next Toolbar PR update though since most webmasters seem obsessed with Page Rank (well, me too, kinda).

I'll be interested to find out how many will appreciate the advantages once it gets going.

I don't think I'm allowed to put a link to it here since I'm a noob.

You may find that this thread answers the question... DP members, list your directories. You have to count manually but you get the names and links to the directories too.
