    You can submit as much as directories you want.
    But don't use instant approval directories. Instant approval directories are not good for websites. Because most of instant approval websites are banned in Google.com & getting backlinks from banned website are not good for your website.
    But you still can submit as much as directories you want. Because a genuine directory website never gives you instant approval.

    its depend on you page rank if your pr more then 4 so around 25 or below 3 so you can submit more then 100 links per day

    oh cool we are making up rules?

    If your site is green you can only submit 20/day but if its black you can do 50/day, if you're lucky enough to have a white site you can submit 100/day. But the best colour of all is blue. If your site is blue you can submit 1000 directories a day!

    For anyone that doesn't understand my sense of humour... I am joking... but I'm betting 9 out of 10 spammers won't know the difference ;)

    I have a sneaky suspicion that the search engine criteria may discount multiple submissions, I would like to hear from someone who is up to date in SEO matters.

    There are a lot of opinions available as to what may be good for a site, I am wondering if multiple submissions is actually what we need to do.

    Don't submit blindly in all directories before that you search high page rank and DoFollow directories. Initially you can start submitting 10 per day then later on you can increase.

    Submit only to 15 to 20 directories and do have unique title and description for the links you submit and also do some bookmarking for the websites.

    Rules are changing constantly. Google continues to change algorithms

    I thing up to 50 a day at most in the begging. Maybe not even that much

    After 100 days you can do more
