How many days is too long to get a response on a PM ?

There was a thread here where someone said that a seller was a scammer because he had not done the job after a few days.
I suggested that you need to give people a little lee way on the time.
Now i am faced with a situation where I have paid but am getting no response from the seller who has now not posted on DP since 15th Jan

So am i wrong to be patient ?

If you buy some thing and pay quickly how long is too long to get some response from the seller ?

At what point in time do you decide that you think you may have been scammed ?

 

2 days can be consider long but it depends on what kind of answer you want to get.

So just to clarify

You buy. You Pay. then you wait up to 5 days ?

 

check his last activity date and time. if he is come and not giving u response then take any action.

and if he is not come then may be that he is facing any personal problem and wait for his online or u can open a dispute on paypal if u r pay via paypal.

and in my suggestion 7 days is enough

 

2-3 working days . and 4-5 days if its a week end

 

I'd say around 2-3 days for this type of thing. Depends on the purchase and services offered. Have you tired sending just a normal email outside of DP? Perhaps they are having trouble accessing the site.
