I have a few content sites and I love SE traffic more than anything. For those of you with sites of at least 20 articles and upwards (even the hundreds), I'm wondering if you can do a quick calculation for the benefit of us here. Take your daily unique visitors traffic and divide it by the number of articles. For example, one of my blogs that I have updated for around 5 years contains around 40 articles, all quality. I get around 50 visits per day, 99% of them are SEO. So that makes 0.8 visits per day per article. And you?
It really depends on the approach you have to search engine optimization. For example, I have sites where I have created backlinks for only 5 pages. Those 5 pages are page1 spot1 for the keyword I'm trying to target and get anywhere from 10-200 visitors per day. On the other hand I've created pages to target less competitive keywords that are page1 but spot5-8 and they only receive 1-3 visits per day. It's better to spend the time getting Page1 Spot1 for any keyword you're really trying to target.
