How Many cPanel Should I Install in VPS?

    Hello Friends,

I have less than 100 domains and I plan to make websites for all the domains. I also have a VPS account. How many cPanels should I install in WHM? Is it a good or bad idea to maintain 1 cPanel for 100 sites? Or do I have to split the sites to different cPanel?

    Thanks for the idea.

If you wish to manage all sites separately, I will suggest to go for all sites with seperate cpanel account, its much better to manage account interms of backup or maintenance.

Thanks Webhost. I'm going to manage all the sites all by myself. Would it be okay if I will just use one cPanel? What are the disadvantages aside from heavy backup file if only one cpanel is used?

you can give every domain a cpanel in case they need a different setting like php, apache etc...
also you could easly deploy them on to another host if needed.

Thanks NewDigital. Will it slow down the VPS if there are more than 3 cpanel installed?

you might better want to create separate cpanel for each, when you have to move site from one server to another, or if you sell sites, it will be easy for you to provide access to buyer or move easily from one server to another, if you have separate setup for each, otherwise you can only provide backup of site.

if it's on one server/vps it's only install one whm and then it will give a cpanel for every sites/domain you hosted there.

so "cpanel install" is not the right word, "cpanel client" would be the right one :)

Yup as NewDigital said, U get a Vps WHM Cpanel License which costs $15 month and ur ready to host uinlimited sites each with separate cpanels :D Cpanel WHM let's u create users. So basically each user will have his/her own cpanel to manage his own files etc :)
