How Many Clicks Should I Have to Know When a Product is Profitable? Snapshot Inside

I just started out 2-3 Weeks ago, i didn't make sale yet. I'm promoting affiliate products, i do my best to make it right, i hope i'm on the right track.

    My question is:

After how many clicks should i determine whether the product is profitable or not?

I'm thinking to delete the two campaigns in the snapshot since it wasted my time even though the ad is very highly relevant to what i'm selling.

Well, you need data, and it definitely depends on what you are promoting. If you reach 400-500 clicks with no conversions, I'd say you need to make some changes. I usually let a campaign run for about 1000 clicks to get some data. Are you split testing the ads? Split testing the page? Are you analyzing what the visitors are doing instead of buying?

I do not want to spend enoumorous amount of time going too deep just for a test. I would analyze deeply if i find a campaign that makes some sales here and there which gives an insight its worth digging deep on it.

500 clicks are a lot of money. If 300 clicks do not bring you anything, I would give up. Even if it make money, it won't be a profitble for you

To determin if your product is profitible or not you need to do the following after 1 month:

How much did you spend on advertising?
    eg. $500

How many sales did you get and the amount of turnover?
    eg. 14 sales making $850

    Answer:
    Profit: $850 - $500 = $350 per month.

If you are doing this, up your spend on advertising and let the money roll in. :)

Good idea, so conversion tracking plays huge role...I'm new to online marketing in general, i market affiliate products so i didn't give much attention
    to conversion tracking.

    Thanks

It depends what the payout is in the offer you are promoting. It might only be converting at 1% but if the payout is high enough it might be worth it.
