Is there any kind of a rough guideline as to how many hops for a given product before I make a sale? What has your experience been?
When testing out new niches.. 8 (flip this number 90 degrees) clicks / sale. Targetted.. 15 - 20 clicks / sale
No,there is no exact figures, your sale depends on many factors like niche of product, demand, competition etc.
Anywhere from 1 in 20 to 1 in 200 Depends on - Traffic quality - Sales page quality - Market need - Actual / assumed product quality Factor in 'curiosity clicks' and affiliates checking out the competition and a rough figure is 1 in 150 for a conversion. Take that as a rough benchmark whether you're going PPC or bum marketing.
e-books are a hard-sell ... probably a dying trend. I normally do (without promotion) a sale in 50,000 to 300,000 visitors. Although, there are users on DP that claim their ROI is far better. (1 in 200-300 as stated above) Good luck! NOTE: CB Boss is just one of many different sites I use to promote CB products. P.S. keep your money in your POCKET!
It's really important that the things you try to sell match with your site content, the closer the match the better the conversion rates.
I've heard this before. After ten years as an affiliate with this outfit, the only thing I can conclude is, there's something wrong with the logic ... when it comes to sales. To back that statement ... all you have to do is check all the posts on DP that confirm others have the same instinctual impression.
If you presell on your web site you can easily bring the ratio up. This works best if you sound like an expert in the field so people take your words seriously.
I'm currently running an Adwords campaign but not with Clickbank that has given me 13 sales from 360 clicks.
It depends on your promotion method. Optimized PPC campaign can bring you a sale about every 30-50 clicks, but let's say, if you are doing Bum Marketing, then it's almost impossible to say when you will get a sale.
Sure, take a look at the post on this page: http://payday4.us/17/make-money-from-home-by-accessing-dozens-of-automatic-cash-systems/ It's a product I have tried so I have an understanding of how it works. All I did was write from my experience and tell people the truth from what I knew. Of course I'd only do this with products I believe in and feel comfortable promoting - and thats a key to doing this, it is much easier to promote something that you really like yourself, it comes through in your writing.
most of the times around 100-200. but hey, i got one sale in zero hop. i'm not kidding. haha. perhaps there's something wrong with clickbank reporting today.
