I was wondering... have any of you received any good clicks from your adsense code when it is displayed here? I have 500 impressions, and one click, lol! Couldn't care less, I come here to read and learn, not to earn money with adsense, but I think it would be interesting to see if any of you have a better CTR.
zero / zilch / nada clicks on mine - but plenty of impressions - but those don't pay. I am not a big time thread starter, you need to ask anthony about his, he probably has the highest impressions (except for Shawn)
That is really cool! When I read about this option to insert your adsence ID and have it rotated, I wondered if this would motivate people to start posting stupid things and spamming the board just to get their ads up. I now see that all of you think the same way and we are all here just to learn and help. Wonderful forum!
Hi, I had 19 clicks from this forums last month, but only one so far this month. So I guess it all depends. I guess that if you post like crazy it is possible to to get to the level of: "another day, another dollar"
Between 1st September and now I've had 5 clicks. A very low CTR!! Like the rest of you said however I'm just here to learn. The thing about a thread like this is, that people get the idea that it would be good to click a few of those links to help the people in this thread earn some revenue... therefor it's always a good idea to post in these threads
I've had nothing, which is odd as I am probabally up there with the top posters... Saying that, I don't expect it to pay the bills for me anyway.
Could it have something to do with the google ads here being in the upper right hand corner-- one of the least-viewed spots on a website? Heatmap of web user's viewing habits -- Derek
No clicks, but then I'm not that active here anyhow. I do think it's partially due to the location, but I like them out of the way. Like many, I'm not here to earn AdSense income.
I just like reading the ones that say "earn $6795/month from home" looks more like Spam ...than Spam itself !
You could end up clicking on your ad ... And that surely will discourage posters from clicking on ads which they would have normally clicked ... also this (clicking on ads) could even harm unsuspecting users !!
Hmmm, that's a good point about clicking on your own adds. How could you solve that problem Shawn? Do you block the adsense ID of the members who are logged in?
So is it correct that you only have to post a reply to have a chance that the ad unit displayed is yours?
