Can you only install One wordpress blog per domain? or install it 2,3,4 times?

    in other directories, such as

    www. mydomain .com/niche1/wordpressblog1

    www. mydomain .com/niche2/wordpressblog2

    www. mydomain .com/niche3/wordpressblog3

    www. mydomain .com/niche4/wordpressblog4

lets say the above niches are similar... (and won't be for SEO purposes, but just as dummy sites)

    [I use host4profit for hosting]

Do many people do this model? (of multiple wordpress blogs on 1 domain?)

is it a wise+ good business model?

and does it have any downsites?

You only have, I think 3 databases with H4P hosting, that and other "security" issues they have set make using H4P for WordPress a hassle. While it can be done you will not be able to upload images or use automatic updates within the WP dashboard unless you bypass their "security" settings or ask them for access to the tmp folder.

I have dealt with them on numerous occasions and they used to allow the access when asked but the last few I have done and asked them to do went unanswered. Besides being expensive (unless you are making $$ on their affiliate program) They just are not a very WordPress friendly hosting solution. There are other providers that are a fraction of the cost with much, much better options. Especially when hosting multiple sites/domains.

Back to the database limit (3) issues... you can share a database with multiple WordPress installs, not an ideal solution but it is possible and I know of no limits of WordPress installs other than what the hosts servers can handle.

In theory you can have as many of them as your database limit allows.

Unlimited database? Then you create as much as you want until you get the warning letter by your host.

You can have many wordpress installations on a single database, so theoretically you can have as many blogs as your heart desires.

It seems like an afforadable solution, to have each similiar niche at a different host/c-class ip would be stronger, then you could interlink them in some way and they would count as backlinks?

Your limits are set by your Hosting Account. Install as many as you want. I see little point in it... if you are going to try and rank a big site with dozens of WP Installs that are about different content it could be confusing. But you might have a great plan, so if you do go for it.

If you are just looking to save money and want to rank as individual sites and have a non specific TLD then install not into Directories but into Subdomains.

Like many said above me said, your limits is set by your web hosting.

I have seen it done by one blogger. Great for using adsense ads. He used 1 domain, 4 blogs. All with the same theme and all linking to each other. Like one master menu at the top. Last time I checked out his earnings it was around $10,000 a month. Im not sure what he used besides adsense but it was something like this (adsense + infolinks = $$$$) He been blogging for 3 years.

So prepare to be blogging alot. I recommend accepting guest blog posts and hire article writers for all that blogging. Don't want to burnout writing too much.
