Hey there! I have been writing a lot in my blog today, and would like to know your opinion of how many posts on a day is to many. So far I have written five posts, and could write one or two more, I really enjoy it
If they're good quality, useful posts I don't think there's any upper limit. I would prefer seeing the posts spaced out rather than have 5 today and then have you go a week without posting. You can always schedule the post to go live in the future, or save it as a draft and publish it later too.
When I write posts I tend to do so in my text editor and saved on my puter. I'll then upload them at regular intervals. As exam said I would rather see posts spread out of time as opposed to a load of them at one point then nothing for some time. Also, I think it's better for SEO. It shows your site is updated on more of a regular basis.
That has been my theory too. But I was affraid there was a limit of posts per day at which the readers didn't have time to read them all, and for that reason leave the blog. Kalle
Just try not to do 2 withing 15 minutes of each other as it can cause problems with the places you ping. I've written dozens a day when testing traffic and had no problems. Cheers
You'd be better offer going for consistency I think - as mentioned it would be best to have one a day instead of 5 today and none for the rest of the week. People check blogs probably at most two or three times a day I'd say unless it is a hugely busy one like Engadget or Slashdot or something. I'd persoanlly do a maximum of two entries a day, and save the others as drafts or something so I have a good "buffer" of posts ready to go out every few days incase I run out of ideas or time.
